CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. -- After studying the costs of new construction, the Cambridge Volunteer Fire Determined will turn to considering an existing building for the department's unborn fire house.

A new fire house has been a topic of consideration for years, with the current building at 9 West Paramount St. -- with three bays, predating modern motorized fire appurtenances -- cited as inadequate and undersized for the department's needs today.
